NPSA Series 1 Cancellation

Dear NPSA Racers and Friends,
As we all know, Governor Hogan announced a “Stay at Home Order” on (3/30)
No commodore in the 40+ year history of our club has had to make such an announcement. I do so with a Heavy Heart. None of us have ever had a life altering event like this in our lives. I know this is yet another disappointment.

North Point Sailing Association (NPSA) PHRF Fleet will suspend all racing events and functions for the First Series April 22- May 27, until the threat to the safety of our society is minimized.

The officers and I have worked hard to put together a fun and exciting season for all of us. It’s difficult to know when it will be safe to resume racing, the situation is very dynamic. Our thinking now is that we will be guided in our decision by the State of Maryland’s executive order. When the situation changes, we will assess.
It’s a hard and simple truth, we all have a responsibility for each other’s health and safety. I promise that on behalf of the NPSA officers that we will do all that we can to make the most of this sailing season just as soon as possible.

Please be optimistic and patient.

Stay at Home and Stay Safe!
