UPCOMING RACES!


With just another week of racing in the 3rd series, we're getting closer to the end of another wonderful sailing season. We still have a couple fun races left! Don't forget to register!

Dudley Boycott Memorial Annual Double Handed Race

August 31st

Entry Due: All racers must sign up no later than 3 days before the race.

Classes: There will be one non-spin/double headsail class. Scoring will be under the Performance Handicap Racing Fleet (PHRF) system.
Rendezvous: to be announced.
Start: Between the Committee boat and the nearest government mark.
Finish: Between the Committee boat and the nearest government mark.
Course: One of two predetermined courses:
A) Long course: START (PW12), BC2B, BC12, FINISH (PW12)
B) Short course: START (PW12), BC4, BC8, FINISH (PW12)
Signals: This will be a pursuit race. Starting times will be determined before the race.
Time Limit: 3 hours
Awards: The winning boat will be awarded The 1st Mariner Bank Perpetual Trophy for a year. If at least seven boats finish the race: the winning boat will win free dues for the next year for the class in which the boat is registered in the current season.
Social: To be announced.
Protests: Immediately following the race at the post-race social.



Annual Harry Young Cup

September 28th

Classes: There will be one non-spin/double headsail class. Scoring will be under the Performance Handicap Racing Fleet (PHRF) system.
Rendezvous: to be announced.
Start: Between the Committee Boat and the nearest government mark.
Finish: Between the Committee Boat and the nearest government mark.
Course: One of two predetermined courses:
A) Long course: START (PW12) > BC2B > BC12 > FINISH (PW12)
B) Short course: START (PW12) > BC4> BC8 > FINISH (PW12)
Signals: This will be a pursuit race. Starting times will be determined before the race.
Time Limit: 2.5 hours
Awards: The coveted perpetual Harry Young Cup, awarded to the winner
Post-Race Crab Feast: to be announced
